#CirqueDayLA at Paseo Colorado in Pasadena until 6PM

With Cirque du Soleil Day more than half over, Pasadena's Paseo Colorado features an interactive photo experience with A Little Scene, and live music and prizes from Hot 92.3 FM.
In addition to the booths, visitors can witness the Pasadena Chalk Festival come to life as artists create chalkful masterpieces. Cirque du Soleil's "IRIS" will even have its own chalk design. The photo here was taken when I first arrived at Paseo. I'm looking forward to seeing the finished product. By the way, the Pasadena Chalk Festival takes place this weekend, and there will be more "IRIS" related activities.

If you didn't have an opportunity to take part in any of today's events (see http://cirquedusoleil.com/CirqueDayLA for the day's remaining offers), come out to the Chalk Festival this weekend. Or, if you're headed to the season opener for the Hollywood Bowl on Friday, get ready for a preview where some of the cast will perform live with an orchestra for the first time in Cirque du Soleil's 27 year history!

It's been a pleasure to immerse myself in Los Angeles and help welcome the newest addition to our cultural and entertainment offerings. As a moderate Cirque du Soleil geek, I can't think of a better way to participate with one of my favorite show brands.

Be sure to check back for posts from XLA blogger Curt and contributing blogger Marlon for their reviews on some of today's "Cirque-themed" menus.

Oh, and I will provide an updated photo of the finished "IRIS" chalk drawing for those interested.

Cheers!

-Julie
