Celebrate L.A. Heritage Day 2013!

This upcoming Sunday, (April 14th, 2013) from 11am to 4pm, head out to El Pueblo with family and friends to celebrate and learn more about Los Angeles Heritage! Featuring over 200 organizations from across LA, experience exhibits, booths, tours, five museums, children activities, and more for free!
Event highlights include:
  • Children's Area with activities like lantern-making with the Chinese American Museum
  • Historic Cars from various museums including the Petersen Automative Museum
  • Twenty Presentations, including talks about the history of the Pico House and the culinary history of L.A.  Check out the full list of L.A. Heritage Day Speakers
Chris Espinosa, GEneral Manager of El Pueblo Historical Monument says of the event, "The legacy of the Mexican, Chinese, Italian, Spanish and African immigrant communities along with our region's indigenous people will be honored for their role in making Los Angeles the diverse metropolis it is today."

The event is made possible through support from the Office of LA City Councilman Tom LaBonge, the Los Angeles Department of Water & Power, and FutureStudio.

Event Time: 11AM-4PM
Location: LA Heritage Day will take place in the historic Pico House and the Plaza at El Pueblo Historical Monument, adjacent to Olvera Street.
Public Transit Tips: Go Metro! Near Union Station, the location is accessible by Metro Red, Purple, or Gold Lines.
