For those who missed the New Orleans based The Revivalists during their 2012 Los Angeles area visits to Club Nokia and The Mint, there is another chance to see them live as they headline at The Roxy Theatre on Sunset Blvd on Wednesday night, February 20,2013. You can read my prior ExperienceLA blog post on The Revivalists here. Tickets are still available and can be purchased from the Roxy website link for $12.50. They will be appearing with four other bands, and so I am not sure exactly when The Revivalists will come on stage. Doors open at 7:15 pm. For those who might be going to the 2013 New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival (also known as Jazz Fest), The Revivalists are scheduled for May 4, 2013. The Revivalists have previously played Jazz Fest and continue to make many appearances in Louisiana throughout the year. Also, since our last post on The Revivalists, they were recognized by Offbeat Magazine Best of the Beat Awards with three awards from their seven nominations, Best Rock Band. The Revivalists are touring nationally right now, and will return to Southern California later this month with appearances in Santa Barbara and San Diego. Take advantage of these SoCal appearances, as David Shaw and his band mates put on a great show. You will be entertained, as they are very talented, and the music is a fusion of many styles as you might pick up from my YouTube video.
