Tonight: Freedom & Fashion 2011: REBIRTH Fashion Show

If you haven’t heard yet, this is the year for giving.  Of course, every holiday season includes gift giving to the ones we love, but what about giving a little freedom this season?

Our friends at Freedom & Fashion are throwing their annual socially responsible fashion event this Saturday, December 17th.  That’s TONIGHT!  We’re talking, local LA designers presenting their fabulously eco-friendly collections, to the sounds of KCRW’s Anthony Valadez, all in the architecturally-amazing landscape of the DTLA Cooper Design Space.

A trunk show before and after the runway presentations enable guests to purchase their fashionable favs for gifts or even (gasp) a little self-love holiday cheer.  With such sponsors as TOMS shoes, MOCA, EVFA, and Amoeba Music, expect to hobnob with the LA elite, all while being a part of something so sweet, it will put the rest of this year’s good deeds to shame.  The best part of all?  The show’s title, Rebirth, represents the cause behind the fashion: to educate on human trafficking, child labor, and human rights violations while providing resource for advocates to support these fair-trade organizations through the purchase of their amazing products.  Need a preview

Tickets start at a mere $25 to get you in on all the action and top out at $100 for VIP access, a pretty awesome swag bag (Amoeba music gift card, anyone?), and access to the VIP Lounge.

ExperienceLA will be there annnnnnndddd if I haven’t managed to convince you yet, here are a few more reasons to add this to your must-do list:
