Maria Bermudez returns to LA with exciting Flamenco show

Still trying to figure out your plans for the weekend? Something that's sure to add a little sizzle to the mix is Maria Bermudez Flamenco: Sonidos, Gitanos and Chicana Gypsy Project at the Ford Ampitheatre. (In photo: Bermudez and Baillaor Juan Ogalla (male dancer); taken by Miguel Angel Gonzalez)

After 17 years, Bermudez returns to LA with a lively production that fuses gypsy Flamenco, African-American blues music, and her Mexican-American heritage.

The show looks to deliver energetic dancing with some serious jazz and blues performances. And, apparently Bermudez belts out some impressive Rancheras vocals.

Maria Bermudez Flamenco will run for two nights, with the first performance tonight at 8:30PM, and the second on Saturday, July 24 at 8:30PM. Tickets are still available for both shows and can be purchased at the Ford box office.
