As the story celebrates a small community in Manhattan, we want to hear from you about what makes your community special. Is there a local market where everyone shops and gathers to share recipes? Maybe it's a special diner that only the neighborhood residents know about. What makes your neighborhood unique, and why are you proud to call it "home?"
In 500 words or less, tell us your "Heights" story, or send us a 90-120 second video that let's us (and our readers) know why your neighborhood is an L.A. gem (video formats can be .mpeg, .MOV, .AVI, .WMV). Take us on a "tour" and help us imagine what it might be like to live where you live. If you're submitting a video, you can also send us a link to your YouTube page as your submission.
We're accepting entries now through Monday, June 21 at noon. Entries can be submitted to 'staff@experiencela.com'. Please be sure to include with your entry:
- A title
- The neighborhood/area you're featuring
- Your full name
- Your phone number
ExperienceLA will select and notify two winners, who will have the chance to have their stories featured on our blog and in our newsletter, as well as receive a pair of tickets each to see the live production.
By submitting your entry, you acknowledge that ExperienceLA has the right to reproduce and re-use your story in a promotional manner. Credit will be attributed to the original content creator.
