Calling all film lovers: L.A. Film Festival

It's that time of year again when film enthusiasts of all types get to experience new, and up and coming films and talent from around the world, including the US. We're talking about the L.A. Film Festival. Now in its 16th year, the line-up offers something for everyone. (Pictured: Focus Features' "The Kids Are Alright")

This year finds the L.A. Film Festival at its new home in Downtown, with L.A. Live as the central location. In addition to the films, conversations, and special events, festival attendees can look forward to the historic and culturally significant venues taking part in this year's showcase. Some of the locations include REDCAT Theatre, The Ford Ampitheatre, The GRAMMY Museum, The Orpheum Theatre, and other locations.

The festival will kick off with Focus Features' "The Kids Are Alright" on June 17. Closing the festivities will be a screening of Universal Pictures' "Despicable Me" on June 27. Other highlights include the invitation-only world premiere of Summit Entertainment's "The Twilight Saga: Eclipse" on June 24, and a number of high-profile gala screenings occurring on various dates.
