¡Feliz Cinco de Mayo! Eclectic Events for Today

There's plenty to do on Cinco de Mayo than partake in your favorite - ahem - beverages.  If you're looking for something to do tonight (some of which you can probably order the aforementioned beverages), here are some ideas:

  • Salsa for Scholarships - Enjoy salsa and give back to the community!  Benefiting the Glendale Latino Associations Scholarship Fund, head out for a night of salsa at the Alex Theatre Terrace Lounge.
  • Cinco de Mayo 2nd Annual "Burrito Bowl" - Collegiate burrito eating contest!  USC vs. UCLA and other Los Angeles area colleges will be participating.  It's not quite the Gauntlet, but everyone love's a good burrito.
  • Much Ado About Nothing - Mariachi Style! - Bet you haven't seen Shakespeare like this...East L.A. Classic Theatres provides this unique musical adaptation set in early California following the Battle of Puebla (celebrated as Cinco De Mayo).
