CicLAvia - Iconic Wilshire Boulevard (6/23)

This Sunday, June 23rd from 9AM-4PM, CicLAvia takes over Wilshire Boulevard with their Iconic Wilshire Boulevard route! Highlighted as their "most walkable CicLAvia ever," the route begins at One Wilshire Hub and extends west toward Miracle Mile.  Check out a few guidelines and highlights you can experience along your route! 

  • Know Your Route: Download a PDF Map of the Iconic Wilshire Boulevard Route.  
  • Share the Road and Be Safe: Whether you're walking or biking, heading out with friends or kids, make sure to know the rules of the road and stay safe.  CicLAvia offers some general guidelines to make sure everyone has fun. 
  • Podcasts and Guide: The Modernist's Guide to Iconic Wilshire Boulevard is part of Pacific Standard Time Presents: Modern Architecture in L.A..  Check out this downloadable guide that will also be available at all hubs.  You can also download podcasts for your Iconic Wilshire Boulevard journey.
  • Know Your CicLAvia Hubs: This route has five hubs - One Wilshire, Macarthur Park, Koreatown, Mid-Wilshire, and Miracle Mile.  Each has their own awesome events and all feature CicLAvia informaiton, merchandise, free water, restrooms, and first aid stations.  There is also free bike repair at all hubs (with the exception of Koreatown).  Here are some basic highlights, but for full details check out the "Along the Route" page on CicLAvia
    • One Wilshire Hub: Active Zone with a climbing wall, pilates, bellydance instruction, and exercises.
    • MacArthur Park Hub: Food vendors, yoga (10:30AM-11:30AM), Kidzone (12PM-4PM), Levitt Children's Show (4PM-5PM), and Levitt Evening Show with Ellis Paul (7PM-8:30PM)
    • Koreatown Hub: Happy Village Cultural FEstival, Fitness in the Park Boot Camp (10AM-2PM), and Koreantown BBQ Cookoff (11AM-5PM)
    • Mid-Wilshire Hub: Food trucks, picnic spots, and music from KCRW Moves SUV
    • Miracle Mile Hub: Pedestrian zone with a wide variety of activities hosted and presented by the Craft & Folk Art Museum, the Zimmer Museum, the Page Museum, Metro, Breathe LA, Googie Adornables Workshop, Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA), ForYourArt, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, and the Petersen Automotive Museum.
