March Music Manifesto: The Robert Glasper Experiment feat. Bilal with Quantic & Alice Russell

After an unforgettable week at my first edition of SXSW, one might think I'd be going on hiatus, but alas... quite the opposite. I feel primed and ready to take on a new musical genre and this week's EVFAArtDon'tSleep's production of The Robert Glasper Experiment featuring Bilal with Quantic & Alice Russell (live band) is the perfect mix.

Robert Glasper first began playing piano in none other than his Dallas, TX church growing up. He met Bilal in NYC while finessing his craft and the two began collaborating almost immeiately, Bilal adding a smooth soul element to Glasper's already electric hip hop sound. A treat for all fans of funk, soul, hip-hop, and R&B, The Robert Glasper Experiment is a group that will truly invigorate the senses.

Hailing from the UK and fresh from SXSW themselves, Quantic & Alice Russell are a refreshing take on what soulful pop is supposed to sound like and run as deep as the waters can take them. Wading through their multi-dimensional sound is a journey inspiration is drawn from, and you'd be a fool not to take.

Due to popular demand (and...it being your lucky day!), a Wednesday show has been added. Get your tickets HERE and we'll savor the musical genius together.
