Universal CityWalk's "StreetFest" returns

Every Sunday from May 16-June 13, expect the unexpected at Universal CityWalk. Billed as SoCal's largest gathering of street performers, "StreetFest" kicks off the summer season with its eclectic collection of talent.

Everyone from jugglers, to stilt-walkers and comedians showed up Thursday morning to an open casting call. All were vying for a chance to be among the 33 unique acts who will be entertaining crowds as they make their way through shops, restaurants and attractions along CityWalk.

Some of the featured acts will include The Silk Sisters of Cirque Du Soleil fame, and The Geek Beat, a fabulously nerdy drumming group.

With so much going on, this year introduces the free "CityWalk Passport" to help guide visitors through their experience. The passport includes a listing of CityWalk's live entertainment schedule.

In addition to the street performers, Universal CityWalk continues its tradition of free concerts, with premiere musical acts as cajun-zydeco artists, Lisa Haley & the ZydeKats (May 16), and the ever-popular '80s new wave cover band, The Spazmatics.

Besides the unexpected, one other element that can be expected this summer is the opening of Universal Studios Hollywood's newest attraction, King Kong 3D. KK3D, created by Peter Jackson, will be the world's largest 3D experience.

Bizarre. Outrageous. Hysterical. Always Unexpected. "StreetFest" starts tomorrow, with performances from 3PM-8PM.
